Bad Session

I played a session last night where I was seemingly more content spewing stacks than I was content to win. So frustrating how I get out of my zone sometimes...... so anyway I'm back to basics, about to play a strict 35 minute flawless session with the hands to then be posted here (in this blog post):

Result: Massive Failure, $900 lost at 200nl in 400 hands. I'm just gonna post em and get em over with, then play again and correct my idioticy.

http://weaktight.com/2450463 - fine
http://weaktight.com/2450464 - raise flop moron he's a fish, river tilt
http://weaktight.com/2450465 - no rhyme or reason to not bet flop, bet once and bluff catch obv. Worst line possible.

http://weaktight.com/2450469 - not terrible given this is the 3rd time I 3bet him and he folded first 2, but still more info and history needed with villain

http://weaktight.com/2450477 - planned to 3bet call with these stacks, annoying turn bink I was calling twice

http://weaktight.com/2450474 - don't hate don't love, the mistake is the 4bet size PF

So to break down my bad hands above, I have:

Coolers: 1 (the AThh IMO)
Definitely badly played: 2
Slightly -EV based on lack of player info: 1 (the 77)
Slightly unlucky: 1 (the AQ)
Bad play PF but I suck out: 1 (the ak)

I didn't have any big winning hands.

So, to focus on the next session, my goals are:

  • No PF spew without proper reasons and history (reasons constituting something like I 3bet him shitloads and he has a massive 4bet % so I'm getting in 77 and AQ and maybe AJs etc)
  • Time on every decision- only goal of the session is to present every hand played on this blog and be able to justify everything in terms of pure EV (justifying it based on I was stuck and wanted to increase variance doesn't count)

Hand 1 I flat here as standard pf to let the utg limper in too. Basically you have a hand that plays well multiway and you want to have more people in to cooler someone. It truely sucks when the utg limp reraises or the isolater reraises and you lose the least when they call the 3bet and you whiff. i really think you are building a huge pot oop unneccessarily here. I think flatting has a far high expected value overall.

Hand 2: I think against a fish you have to raise. I'm tempted to fold the turn even v a fish. On the river i'f you do the math i'm pretty sure you will find it is a fold.

Hand 3: ignoring the flop. That turn betsize is awful. Miss a ton of value, don't protect your hand.

hand 4: Klink would tell you this is spew, but I do this too esp if I just 3bet him twice and he folded. if I 3bet him twice and he called I'm clearly not 3bet/5betting.

hand 5: Despise the flop bet size. Despise the turn check raise.

Hand 6: What is wrong with your 4bet size pf? It couldn't be more standard.
