Hands..........

I've been playing really well IMO, and currently have my mental and technical side pretty much spot on. As well as the humdrum standardish hands that I'm managing not to butcher for the first time in months I've also played half a dozen or so sick hands, a mon avis.

I have lost all of my last 10 big flips though, so results could be better.

Anyway, some hands where I'm unsure.

http://weaktight.com/2344658 - Carrotsnake, at first I thought this standard, but then I'm not actually sure that the number of combos when called that I beat > the number of combos that beats me. Txs must make up around 15 combos, JJ 3 combos, I'll give QQ 1 combos, possible hero calls from 99/88 = 3 combos, so 22 combos I beat VS 15 set combos, some random 2 pair combos and a few 7x/ a2s. I think it's super close to a breakeven shove?

Some turn spots:

And lastly some pokertainment. Boro featured in my last vid (and he's watched it and commented), and I said in that vid that I usually stay out of his way. This is the first time I've played with him since, and so I decided to go full throttle crazy on him. I got some reactions, of which one is........

5 Days of Regime

I'm doing a good job of playing 400nl when clear headed, and 200nl when my light headedness abounds. I've been playing very well in my estimation, my 3bet% has gone through the roof but I take my foot off the gas when needs be. In terms of other technical stuff, I feel the most important re-learn has been to constantly ask the question 'what does he expect me to do with xx here'.

He's not good enough/ bad enough whatever to do this with AJ. He must know I don't have many big hands in my range, but I'm not certain he's good enough to capitalise on this. Saying that, it's sb vs btn and I have 2 pair. Call or fold?

Villain was 3betting ~ 9% in MP, so I think the cold 4bet is fine albeit perhaps too big. He snap called the 4bet. Are we betting this flop? Are we following up on the turn?

Limped pot, I lead with two overs and backdoors. On the turn I pick up a ton of equity and stacks allows me to overbet bluff my oesd + flush draw + overs. Alas he calls, and now he has some bad pair that missed his oesd or GS, or another flush draw, or which Axhh is possible. Against that range, are we following up on the river?

Villain is a big fish over 75 hands or so, playing 50/29 with a 3bet% of 23. He's 4bet 1/1. I think the flop is a call........ now, he's going to have AK/AQ etc a LOT of the time here, so is betting 1/4 pot far inferior to just shoving? Should we just check? River sucks, it's a 1/3 pot bet........ fold?

Day 2 of 'Regime'

Yielded $1600 in profits, $800 at 200nl and $800 at 400nl. Goals:

•Leave pots in which I have no equity alone when I've invested 3BBs. - yay
•Be much more aware of regular's betsizing on all streets and what it means. - 8/10
•Always play IP, if OOP then have a plan to CR x amount of flops. - I'm getting a bit cocky OOP again, one step at a time dan....... 5/10

I'm struggling for interesting or difficult spots though that I haven't already discussed.

My daily goals are all fine, I've just woken up from a light headedness-combatting siesta, so with water and protein shakes down my neck I should at least be playing close to my A game.

About to play a session of 400nl, 45 minutes long, hands to follow..........

I think the flop is kind of cool, like a multipurpose bet to get Ike to fold a ton of stuff this deep OOP (all lower pairs, possibly even TT etc), while seizing the initiative VS the fish who has either some weak draw or a pair 9 or lower, of which there are many more combos of 55-88.

The board ran out good for me obviously with the 3 pairing, and then the T coming on the river meaning in the classical obvious bluff catching spots that the fish never value bets a 9 here so has like T9 or air.

On the flop, I CR and he snap called. Now, of course some guys will snap a Q here, but on the whole it means to me draw or some air looking to float, basically weakness. On the turn, obv my flush is going to be no good VS a double paired board, but I elect to call down based on something about his turn sizing and timing. River is good only in the sense that it doesn't change the board, but I'm obv calling any card........

My session goals were all good:

•Leave pots in which I have no equity alone when I've invested 3BBs- 10
•Be much more aware of regular's betsizing on all streets and what it means- 8
•Always play IP, if OOP then have a plan to CR x amount of flops- 9
•Play creatively- 8

I'm about to play a session, in terms of my daily goals:

Gym in morning (between 8-9am) - no because I've got footy in the afternoon
Whole wheat for breakfast - done
Tidy office - done
1 pint of protein shake in morning, 1 in afternoon - about to do
Take fish oil, vitamin b12, multi B vitamin - about to do
Blog immediately before session- comment on the light headedness.... is it there? - it's not there yet
Drink water all throughout day - doing
Wholewheat pasta in afternoon - pending
Session length of 35-60 minutes - pending
Have some competitive pride - pending
