2012 Plan

First day of 2012. My goal was to play 3k hands 6 tabling, I did it in a little under 6 hours. It wasn't that hard, 3 sessions each of 2 hours. If I manage to get up early, should be easy to get one in at 7am, then ~ 12pm, then a session later on. My health has improved a ton and I'm finding it easy to concentrate, and haven't suffered light headedness since improving my diet.

So after all the talk of the WC changes, it seems like they certainly DO benefit me. That HEM stat says so based on my historical vpip/pfr, and that includes hands where I'm playing nittier and mass tabling. My stats today for 6 tabling were 30/24, and have yielded me 1792 VPPs.

So time for some yearly planning maths:

1792 VPPs per day = 652288 VPPs for the year.
With my 3.5x multiplier, this = 2283008 FPPs for the year.

(2283008 / 250000) = $36,528 in FPP bonuses

I also get $16,200 in VPP milestone cash bonuses.

This means total rakeback for the year of $52,728

I'll be playing around 1m hands.

A winrate of 2BB would yield me $80k in cash profits. I think this is fair, 6 tabling I would estimate my winrate higher but then everyone does.

So total profit for the year of $132,728

Realistically, I think plenty of factors could swing this total as much as $50k either way. Actual volume, winrate, and most importantly the date at which I move to 400nl, if I ever do. These sums are based on a year of 200nl, which hopefully won't be my fate.

Unless at some decent point I am markedly over my targets, I must RESIST:

Tournaments
Buying into $4k live BI tournaments
Tournaments
5-10 shots.
9 tabling
12 tabling
Tournaments
16 tabling
Underolled 400nl shots.

So this is my plan anyway, the plan by which I'll judge myself at the end of the year. Get hands in, play well, be disciplined, don't spend much, finally have a little taste of financial security. That is my poker 2012 in a nutshell. Oh and make loads of leggo vids!

Sounds a pretty good plan. I always worked things out over 250 days for a year just because of days where I don't play/trips away or whatever. I also like a worst case scenario, then if I do better I feel good (and if I do worse I feel REALLY bad).

With regards to getting the sessions in - I've been playing three two hour sessions for the last few months of the year. I found that getting in one as soon as you're ready after waking up is by far the most important thing. And if you can run over on that one a little all the better. Also try and put more than 6 hours in on Monday/Tuesday putting less pressure on the rest of the week. There's nothing worse than getting to Friday and needing to stick in an extra 2/3 hours.

Ya good advice dodgery. Today is a case in point, it's 4pm and I have 6 hours of play to get in! The real trick I think is to get up at a decent time, then I actually feel part of the world too. fail today tho :(
