Session 11

Hands: 2428
Net: $651

Two things I'm not happy about, one is not stopping at my $1k stop loss, the other is playing non stop for 6 hours. I guess I just don't quite have the willpower when I know I'm playing well and I don't want to finish a session down. Luckily it all worked out....

Ok this hand VS my current arch enemy (who gets AJ and JQ in PF and spikes every time). My draw on the flop is not remotely strong, and with him betting this board into 2 players I'm not sensing a lot of FE (in terms of lead/3bet all in). I think calling here OOP with no showdown value is terriweak, so, easy raise fold? Turn plays itself obv.

I go for thin turn value VS AJFenix, repping all sorts of FOS bluffs and semi bluffs. I don't know a) why he doesn't cbet the flop, b) what he's doing on the river. He commented something like oh I guess you're not folding sets anyway. I like my small lead on the river, it was basically designed to get weaker flushes to shove and worse hands to call, which they otherwise wouldn't to a normal size bet. And, even better, he shoves QQ, AS A BLUFF. Great!

This guy just seemed a little fishy, had spotted the occasional bluff. I'm on record as saying I never care about Ks in 3bet pots, AK 4bets PF, etc. So, I doubted he had a K, and doubted also he'd be good enough to raise it...

Some bonus chat from the session:

Hand 1(74s): If I didn't squeeze pf, I wouldn't check raise the flop because usually when he bets this flop his range is somewhat strong and we rep nothing but draws, 1 two pair combo, 1 set.

So I prefer to c/c flop and c/c turn if I pair and check raise bluff the turn if the board runs out scarier ie an A turn.

I personally hate creating a massive pot oop with such an easily dominated hand this deep. I feel we are asking for trouble.

Hand 2 (ATs) Big fan of the turn check raise. Was planning on posting some of them in my blog. His play is awful.

Hand 3 (A6s): You are still doing what you did the other night. If you bet this flop it is a bluff. You are supposed to fold to a raise. Every time you face this situation repeat 100 times I am bluffing over and over. I check the flop every time, you are unnecessarily splitting your range.
