Not much history at all with him, like in 30 hands he had demonstrated himself to be a regular, 23/20, 3bet a couple of times. First 4bets always a bluff, so first 5bets gotta be a bluff. Hmm.

As someone who had a decent amount of success with 5-betting, I can say that having no history with someone is not the way to do and assuming that the first fou bet is always a bluff is rubbish. There's no fact in that at all.
So you have 5bet in the completely wrong conditions. You need to know someone is capable of 4betting and then you need to have creaated the meta/history that you expect a four bet bluff.
Moreover I don't like your 5bet size, you have played it like you don't mind getting flatted so that you can play top pair like the nuts. 5bets should put him in a position to shove or fold, you want him to fold. Bet bigger. On top of that never ever bet the flop when called.
I think that's pretty fair :(
