Session 18

http://weaktight.com/4395513 - 14% UTG, folds a lot to 3bets. Do we just flat KK here?

http://weaktight.com/4395514 - BLUFF. both slightly winning regs.

http://weaktight.com/4395516 - a silly bluff of a fish based entirely on his weak betsize. Silly Dan, pick the times a) your range is strong, b) your opponent can fold

http://weaktight.com/4395519 - SNE reg. Bigger is value, but then tptk is tptk?

http://weaktight.com/4395520 - one for interest, spewing in 4bet pots weeee

So played well PF again, some bad postflop play has crept in but not enough to form a pattern. I'm still about due to have a massive winning day I can feel it, but in the meantime all I can do is stay solid on PF, apply the mental exercises I've been doing and take it from there.

KK - I'm flatting KK and AA to 4-bets as standard at the moment anyway (in position) just to get a feel for how 4-bet pots play out. Shoving is not bad!

JQo - I don't really like this. Preflop I fold 99% of the time here, if not more. I know it's about gameflow as well, but I prefer to try and stick to a more solid range and not let my 3-bet stat get too insane. I don't like postflop either. It certainly does look strong and should get some folds, but between the three of them someone's going to have a set, Ax, or a flush draw too often and there's no guarantee they fold those hands/miss their draws/whatever.

55 - Yeah don't like it. Just wait for the times we have more equity when called if you think you can bluff raise. Remember when we looked at flatting 66-22 otb or something and you said most people were losing with it. This is why.

AKo - Preflop I can find a fold here against some regs. I can find a call sometimes too though. Postflop I like the bet and double barrel a T/J. I think river has to be a fold. He has to be turning TT-55 into a bluff in a spot where it's likely you have Ax or Qx. Saying that, to flat the 3-bet you can only have AK (that's not two pair) or KQs probably. And he might think you can fold KQs. So I can see reason to think he would turn those into a bluff, but he has plenty for value too (all sets, QJs, AQs), and it just feels like a spot he won't bluff as you have a hand so often.
